Fraternal Patterns is a book documenting a series of performances beginning with SnakeGlove. The event first occurred at the grounds of the Iraq Embassy in Berlin, where the hand flexed, dropped into dirt, and made a fist, demonstrating the effect of the pattern and the pattern's inverse. This fragmented fashion show which has continued in both San Francisco and New York uses the hand as its model, but does not focus on the glove itself, suggesting that clothing is just as much about the avoidance of observation as observation itself. Reducing movements to simple gestures of bending, and releasing tension becomes a way of interacting with loaded spaces externally and breaking walls in interior ones.
